Here is the story thus far. I had linux-mozilla 1.0.0 running fine on my 4.7-STABLE FreeBSD 4.7-STABLE Alpha box. But another linux port messed up my linux_base, so I started over. I acquired Mozilla 1.2.1 from rpmfind.net, stepping through each missing component until I was finally able to get 1.2.1 to run. And so it does. However, I can only connect to localhost. Everything else, whether host name or IP address, errors immediately with "The connection was refused when attempting to contact {...}". Going to the same sites with OSF1-Netscape and native Konquerer from the same host works fine. I think I must have botched my linux_base hook into the native TCP/IP, but I cannot see where or how? tcpdump shows the name resolution is working and some communication with the site occurs. Anyone have advice in troubleshooting this? Or am I stuck downgrading my linux-mozilla? Cheers!
