Sorry about the problem caused by my commit. Thank you for notifying me abo=
ut this breakage.

It seems like this was relying on the previous broken behaviour.

I'm going through ports tree for all the USE_JAVA ports, and making sure my=
 next fix does not break INDEX build for them.
