I decided to buy the CD from Walnut Creek, > do I want Version 2.2.8 or 3.0?? > > -zL zorklord@xtreme.net.au If your running FreeBSD for the first time, I'd say go with 2.2.8 - We run both 3.0 and 2.2.1 through 2.2.8 here, 3.0 is run on a couple of 'development' boxes, the 2.2.X stable releases run on our 'production' (i.e. someone gets to scream if it fails) type boxes... 3.0 has more 'cutting edge' (i.e. up to date) features, but generally isn't run / tested by as many people as the 2.2.X-Stable releases (such as 2.2.8)...
