Well, I've confirmed that I've managed to pretty much screw up my system by trying to upgrade to KDE 3.2. I can't get khello world to link. QT 3.2, no libXmu, the ports say libXt is "broken and needs to be fixed." sigh. As all I want to do is develop an application for KDE 3.2 (as opposed to work on KDE itself) I'm going to wait and 5.3 or 4.10 comes out and re-install my system from the built packages at that point. Thanks for the pointers on portupgrade and -pufa, even through I ran through portupgrade -pufa (and I've cvsup'd my ports tree) I have yet to get back to a system where I can do development. Good old gcc works fine though. --Chuck
