We decided on FreeBSD.org as "official capitalization" after a bikeshed (on the -doc list, IIRC) sometime in the 1998-1999 (possibly early 2000) timeframe. I'm not sure whether this has been documented somewhere or not. > I will avoid all such commits in the future -- unless someone decides > to define a policy. Feel free to back this change out if you wish. The policy is that we should use consistent capitalization in order to give a consistent image and increase "brand recognition". Or at least it was that the last time this was up for discussion. Eivind.
