However, if you want to do the hard way, use anonymous ftp to ftp.freebsd.org and cd to /pub/FreeBSD/2.2.5-RELEASE. You want to copy the directories bin, proflib,manpages,dict,doc,compat1x,compat20,compat21, catpages, floppies, and tools. These are probably the most important ones to get a minimum working freebsd installation working. (at least for me. :-) Also read all the TXT files before downloading anything. Once you get ready to start, BACKUP your harddrive in case something goes wrong. Good luck! Read the FAQ at www.freebsd.org, if you can't find any answers there feel free to mail this list! sri -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Sriram Ramkrishna | Intel Corporation Unix System Adminstrator | MD-6 Division, Technical Support -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
