I don't know what causes this, but the workaround is to use one 8-bit DMA
channel (DRQs 0-3) instead of two 16-bit ones.

mxaudio dumps core on me too, but it works fine for my friend Doug, running
nearly the same version of FreeBSD :-) I think it's nondeterministic.
