Try ``disable pred1'' and ``deny pred1'' in your config. There's at
least one predictor implementation running around that doesn't gel
with ppp. I've heard reports that older versions of ppp *did* work,
but I've rebuilt those older verisons and run them against the latest
version without problems.
I'm at a bit of a loss for a way forward - the only choice at the
moment is to disable things as above.
