Is there a work around? Named doesn't get loaded until later, along with the mail server, since I do it with scripts rather than from rc.conf. And since this box is rather important, and since I waited around 10 minutes for it to go past that, it seems rather troublesome. If its just a configuration issue, tell me and I'll research it on the net. The hang occurs at "recovering vi sessions". A ctrl-c gets it past. Anyone else seen this? That's the timeout for a DNS lookup when vi is trying to send an email saying there's a file to recover, it's nothing to do with your cvsup at all :) --=20 Simon Dick simond@irrelevant.org "Why do I get this urge to go bowling everytime I see Tux?"
