Naming conventions.  Nothing else.  For the brief life
of a -PRERELEASE, that's what -STABLE is.  There's
also a tendancy to not commit major changes during
this period.

Sorry about that.  I'll try to avoid being legally bound by
agreements I didn't sign in the future.
