Since then, the SBLive! drivers were fully committed to the 4.0-STABLE branch. If you're following 4.0-STABLE, a cvsup and kernel recompile should help out with your problems. If it weren't so close to the end of the quarter, I'd upgrade from 3.4 to 4.0 and see how well they work.
