I wanted to thank you all for your help. The suggestion to turn off both LBA and the on-board BIOS did the trick (after 10 hours of installing over PPP again) Now if only I could figure out why the ppp process takes up 120%+ CPU all the time, but, that's for a different thread and I think I'll just go with pppd anyway. =) Thanks again! =) -- David Kirchner -- dpk@eskimo.com -- http://www.eskimo.com/~dpk/
