I think we should give the committer in question the benefit of the
doubt given that he's very new and I think that going a little easy on
folks during their first 90 days or so is only reasonable.  That's why
I haven't simply dived in and fixed it, I'm waiting for him to do so
and through so doing, hopefully, understand the process a little
better in the future.
