It has to be /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/KERNEL or /usr/src/sys/amd64/conf, depending on the platform you're on. AFAIK you can't build an amd64 kernel on i386 and vice versa, so make sure your configuration is in the right directory. Use $ uname -m to determine on what platform you're on. HTH Christian
