Hello,
I am trying to install FreeBSD on my new PentiumII PC
After I boot the floppy, it identifies all the hardware correctly (the
netwok card - 3Com3C905, the HDD - Quantum Fireball ST4.3 ) the screen
just goes blank and nothing happens. It should have shown the
installation options screen. Also just before the screen goes blank,
there was a hard disk access.
When the hardware probing was going on, for the network card it says
something like "mii : disable autoselect with DOS util". What does this
mean. Could this be the problem?
Also my HDD is 4110MB and i have partitioned as follows
Primary : Win95 : 512M
Primary : Linux : 256M
Extended :
Logical : Linux : 1G
Logical : Linux : 512M
Logical : Linux : 450M
Logical : Linux Swap : 62M
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Jose
