OK. su normally prints the message you see to the console (/dev/ttyv0)
and also prints another message (such as "Sorry") at the prompt
you tried to su from. Did you see anything else? Checking the source
you should be seeing one of:

	Sorry
	Sorry - account expired

These are the only 2 associated with the "BAD SU" error, and both
are password related.
