Due to the variety of unixes that I have to deal with, and the variety of ways I connect to them, I am forever having headaches with the erase character. Conceptually, I am not thrilled with the idea of having a special "erase2" option in stty. But I'm so fed up with del vs ^H in my own day-to-day operations that any improvement would be welcome. I wouldn't mind a more architecturally grand solution, but this would be helpful enough that I'd be happy to see it, if someone has already written the changes to make it happen. -- Garance Alistair Drosehn = gad@eclipse.acs.rpi.edu Senior Systems Programmer or gad@freebsd.org Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or drosih@rpi.edu To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-arch" in the body of the message
