Hi im kinda new to FreeBSD and im looking for a way to talk to a basic
stamp via the comport. A basic stamp is a small microprocesser that i have
connected to my home win machine and can send commands.

In my case i have connected this chip to a remote control car and by
sending data through the comport at 2400BPS i can navigate the car. I used
to run linux and had the car working (not verywell but working). Anyway im
looking for a way to access the comports at 2400BPS from a perl appliction
i have written to allow the car to be driven from the net.

i have read that i can open the comport like a file but how do i set
parity, baudrate, stopbits, startbits etc.... Are there any examples that i
could look at or any help files i can use? or hell just someone out there
willing to help?

Anyhelp would be great.

ps are there any webcams that would work well with FreeBSD i would like to
see video of what the car sees and i cant find drivers for the hardware i
have now. Currently i just have 2 still image devises. a grabit and a
snappy. and some small 1 inch by 1 inch color videocameras. I already
know of a way to transmit the video data back to the computer i just need a
way to save still images. from there a simple server push image loading
system on a webpage would offer a really cool heads up view.
