Sorry, that I answer not earlier, but the box with the problem is 200km away. In the answer of my first question I got the hint to use the kernel debugger. Here ist the result of this. dmesg shows: da1: Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device da1: 10.0MB/s transfers (10.0MHz, offset 15) da1: 1032MB (2113776 512 byte sectors: 64H 32S/T 1032C) I use : fdisk /dev/rda1 some informations came on the display and then thy box hangs. I use CTRL-ALT-ESC and type trace this is the result: Debugger("manual escape to debugger") Stopped at Debugger+0x37: movl $0,in_Debugger db> trace Debugger(f0232cf1) at Debugger+0x37 scgetc(f0266f08,2,0,f0266f08,0) at scgetc+0x824 sckbdevent(f0266f08,0,0,0,f4521d00) at sckbdevent+0x50 atkbd_intr(f0266f08,0,0,f01fc4fe,0) at atkbd_intr+0x1f atkbd_isa_intr(0,80000000,10,10,0) at atkbd_isa_intr+0x1e Xresume1() at Xresume1+0x2b --- interrupt, eip = 0xf02045bd, esp = ßxfß23e5ß8, ebp=0 --- Thanks for help Ralf --- Sent through Global Message Exchange - http://www.gmx.net To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-scsi" in the body of the message
