Hi everyone, I just wanted to post this in case someone out there is having a similar problem. Basically, my monitor kept shutting off whenever I tried to exit X-Windows or switch to a virtual console. I managed to solve my problem by adding the following to /etc/rc.conf: allscreens_flags="80x30" I have no idea why this worked, and apparently (from searching the mailing list archives) will not work in all situations, but it did in my case. Here is a list of my hardware.
