Dedicated mode and the boot manager are mutually exclusive; if you install the boot manager on a dedicated disk you run a pretty good chance of ruining the entire disklabel. You need to install booteasy on the primary master disk; this is easily done by grabbing boot.bin and bootinst.exe from the CD and running it.
