I had half hour today and just went for it, forgetting all you wrote previously. So, I'll do what you suggest and first try building experimental firefox36. If that still works ok, I'll then try newer branches. One question: is sound really necessary? I run X clients on a remote ia64 server and view the results on a desktop X server.
