I enclose the console messages of an Acer TravelMate 620 Series that seems to have some problems with pccard. For me, so far it is just a minor nuisance, but the message says to report it to mobile@freebsd.org, so here it goes. If you look at the end of the dump, you'll see that it "detects" that a card has been inserted, then it says it is unsupported, then it says it's been removed, and keeps going like that all the time (every few minutes). Of course, the problem is that I haven't inserted or removed any kind of card, it's just the computer's imagination. :-) In fact, I don't have any of those cards. I can also boot with the -v option and send you a more verbose dump, if you want it. By the way, the laptop has an Intel 82830 (i830M GMCH) SVGA controller, and the XFree86 4.2.1 server core dumps with signal 11 during startup. Do you think this may have any relation with the pccard problem? Jan 22 16:38:12 /kernel: Copyright (c) 1992-2002 The FreeBSD Project.
