And I've got a couple of questions. ASUS is the recommended (more or less) MB of FreeBSD. But I'm leaning toward the Gigabyte 586HX (4PCI/4ISA and 6 Simm slots). The advantage the ASUS P55T2P4 has is NCR SCSI bios and the mediaslot(maybe?). 1) I currently use a 1542B with EZ-SCSI software on Windows 95. I need to be able to backup Windows as well as FreeBSD. I have a HP 4mm drive, which works great. Does the SC200 (Symbios/NCR 810) have and windows software? 2) What's the media slot buy me? I'm leary of proprietary slots, yes I know it can be used as a regular PCI slot. Lastly, AMD, Cyrix or Intel. I can get a AMD 5K86-P133 for $89. Man, that's tempting.
