Actually, I can, but I'm immediately kicked back to the login prompt following the message: "this account is currently unavailable". I can log in under admin, but don't seem to have the umph thereby to fix the problem not allowing my to login as root. I've been given various procedures to follow that are supposed to be the remedy: including things that begin with a "-s" at the boot prompt, and commands that include "chfn root", etc. Everything I've been told so far has been just cryptic/incomplete enough that I end up getting nowhere. I spent 6 years as a SCO Unix installer/user/programmer so, I'm not totally without clues. I've just never been without access to root. I can be at the machine whilst following any advise anyone might be able to share is given. If you need to know more about the whole situation I can give you what I have. We currently have our webpage up on this machine and would like to be able to proceed from where we are. Right now we're up, but frozen. Assistance is much needed and appreciated.
