Ok... thanks... as it turns out I'm going to have to add the patches as the PAO distribution does not have the Seagate SCSI driver I need to enable my cd-rom drive... Thanks again... The PAO package has the kernel patches to support PCMCIA devices. So you could boot and install with the normal boot system, and then apply the PAO patches. The normal kernel and source, as it is, does not have the code for PCMCIA and other laptop "stuff".
