I can't answer the question, because I don't know. The reason I don't know is because I don't really care. I had hoped that linux_base-7 could be installed on top of linux_base-6, but apparently it doesn't. For example. Using a different distribution might also make a difference. I choose Red Hat because it had the best overall support.
