I have read things from the FreeBSD webpage, archived mailing list posts, and /usr/src/UPDATING. The proper way to build world and build a kernel from source is different in each of these. I am getting rather frustrated trying to figure all of this out. It seems that most peoples attitudes are "do whatever works". Well none of it seems to be working for me. Last week I was able to do a "make world" just as I had always done it but that doesnt seem to work anymore. I am running FreeBSD 4.1.1-Stable and would like to know the proper way to build world and a kernel for this week. Thanks you.
