A friend of mine, is unable to install FreeBSD on the secondary hd
of its computer.
This is what the console says trough the installation process:

[repeated 3 times with different values]

the ide chipset is Ali M1543C
the hw (hd, pc, etcetc) is perfect, the same problem occurs with 4.0-S, 4.1-S,
4,2-S, etcetc
any idea?
