i have problem here

i just install FreeBSD4.5 and then i upgrade to STABLE version, but when i 
run bnc or even BitchX to connect irc trying to use anyhost from my machine 
its give me mynameserver as host time i chose onther host to connect with

sorry for my english and hope someone help me.
