Hello FreeBSD peeple:) I have tried to build a custom kernel according to the instructions in the Handbook (groff ver 1.1.0) and have recieved an error. After copying GENERIC to a file called COMPAQ and editing it to my needs I followed the instructions below: (whilst in the /usr/src/sys/i386/conf directory) /usr/sbin/config COMPAQ cd ../../compile/COMPAQ make depend make make install all of the above steps appeared to complete without a hitch with the "make depend" and "make" commands dropping me back into a prompt with no errors. However the final "make install" command gave me a "could not install, you must compile your kernel first" I had a quick ask on #FreeBSD but no-one at the time could help I have included the compaq file for you to look at (the case is different 'coz I'm still using WinDoze to mail u. Please help! Cheers Matty p.s. Other Info if you need it.
