Your system is not fully operationl in the time you try to run ntpdate. Just edit your /etc/ntp.conf to connect to some time servers. I get error msgs that the time server cannot be found. Is named run before or after ntpdate? Should I change the rule in something like "ntpdate -b ip" ?
