William Wells" Sender: owner-freebsd-multimedia@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org I have a sound card, identified as: Vendor ID CTL00f0 (0xf0008c0e), Serial Number 0xffffffff PnP Version 1.0, Vendor Version 16 Device Description: Creative ViBRA16X PnP The pcm driver doc (in isa/snd) *does* say that neither capture nor full duplex mode is supported for this card. However, man pcm does not say this -- it only reports that full duplex mode is not supported. (In fact, capture does not work.) In addition, it does not appear to be possible to use this card with the sb driver; everything I've tried has resulted in timeouts or a failure to recognize the device at all. If the thing isn't supported, this probably should be noted. Anyway, if this card *is* supported and I'm confused, I'd appreciate hearing it. If not, someone there can send in the problem report or, if you'd rather, I can send it in.
