nmh is a mail reader, not an MTA like sendmail.  They're two separate 
animals that server two completely different functions.  You'd replace 
something like "mutt" or "pine" with it, not sendmail.

If you're looking to replace sendmail, take a look at postfix and/or 
qmail instead.
