 Can you capture a dmesg using a serial console?  The LSI SAS1078 is 
 well-supported by the mfi(4) driver, so it should see any volumes that 
 are configured.  I assume you've configured a RAID-1 volume using the 
 BIOS and that the BIOS sees the volume during boot?
