I compiled the kernel w/added lines at the end: ...... # Added by user ljg 10/2002 device pcm device sbc0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 all went well - I rebooted and did: # cd /dev and # ./MAKEDEV snd0 I noticed in /dev new devices created after this, and I can post an ls -l of /dev if needed. But no sound, KDE can't find the card and dmesg has no mention of it. Any help appreciated.
