It does.  As you can also guess from Jeff's description. ;-)

(Changing the `reserved' in scsi_modes made the field being displayed,
but it `magically' disappeared in the mode page editor.)

It seems that this drive expects something else than the default value
for a field that it's not editable at all.  Weird.
