Hi! I am running free 3.4 Stable, and it runs pretty stable, but i am not able to start X. X IS CRASHING MY SYSTEM, NOT MORE THAN 5 MINUTES AFTER I START XDM. I suspect that my Video Board is a buggy hardware! Have anyone here already faced such a problem ? After all that, i decided to install 3.3.5 XFree, but now, i cannot even loggin using startx and/or xdm. Here is what i got: (/var/log/messages) Jan ......... etosha -:0: no modules loaded for 'xdm' service I got this message after i started xdm and a user tried to log into the system. On other hand, when a user try 'startx': Authentication Failed - cannot start X server Perhaps you do not have console ownership? bla bla bla And in the /var/log/messages i get this: Jan ...... etosha Xwrapper: no modules loaded for 'xserver' service Thank you a lot for your time and cooperation.
