GNOME2 isn't ready yet. It looks like you're just building GNOME1. Thank you for this assert. Make sure you have gdk-pixbuf _and_ gnomecanvas installed, and that they're the same version. Then, do a make clean in /usr/ports/print/ggv, then restart your build. If you still have problems, remove gdk-pixbuf and gnomecanvas, and remake them. Then resume your build. Joe Thank Joe. Yes, I've done it and now gnome is built and ready to run. Anyway I've seen an error ending the make install: su-2.04# cd /usr/ports/x11/gnome su-2.04# make install [...] ===> gnome-1.4.1b2_2 depends on shared library: capplet.5 - found ===> gnome-1.4.1b2_2 depends on shared library: panel_applet.5 - found ===> Generating temporary packing list ===> Registering installation for gnome-1.4.1b2_2 /bin/sh:Argument list too long /bin/sh:Argument list too long 1) How to avoid these errors: Argument list too long? 2) How to avoid circular dependences building gnome?
