Since then I'm having problems staying connected with PPP. I was previously running 3.3-RELEASE without any problems. After reading through the release notes I noticed that ppp was modified in this new version. I am using 'ppp -auto -nat' as I use the machine as gateway for the rest of this small network. I know this could be related to line problems so I tested the same modem and line on a *yuck* NT server, and managed to stay connected without any problems. Can anyone give me some tips on how I could troubleshoot this?? Any help would be much appreciated. Please reply to this address as I am not subscribed to the lists on this address.
