For its main purpose it does work. I use it every day (via cron job) and my attempt to "just switch" to yt-dlp failed recently as they are not fully inter-compatible: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp#differences-in-default-behavior I'm not a FreeBSD ports committer or else, I'm a regular FreeBSD user, and seeing the port being deprecated like that doesn't look to me nice.
