Whistle OTOH, has grown based on FreeBSD and has made constant contributions. I don't think this will be a Linux vs. BSD confrontation and I doubt that our well known hackers in Whistle communications will (or can) stop using FreeBSD, however I don't know enough about IBM to know if they will add to FreeBSD like Whistle has done.
