How can I reset an ethernet card (3COM XL905) without rebooting? I tried ifconfig with "media" and "mediaopt" options. Although "ifconfig xl0" shows the change, the ethernet switch it's connected to says xl0 didn't change @#$%!. (The switch is okay.) I know the switch is correct because the speed of traffic went down the tubes with "collision" indicator almost lit solid (at the switch) when there's good amount of traffic. I tried telnet though that interface and responses are literally measured in seconds. ------------- clip here with virtual scissors -------------- ************************************************************ Keyboard stuck error.
