If more people used FreeBSD then there would be more developers some of which would be writing pretty front ends. If your going to blame the market share on the lack of a pretty installer then your setting up a circular logic argument, which by definition is invalid. While there's no question that the lack of a pretty installer drives some people away, neither is there proof that it is a major factor. There are reasons, like the AT&T thing, that aren't circular.
