Dear Sir / Miss I use Dell PowerEdge2500 server with tape backup drive. When I use following command to copy the data to tape. tar cvf /dev/nrsa0 /user/ports/myports. there is the following error message on server screen. (sa0:ahc1:0:6:0):Write(06). CDB a 1 0 0 a 0 (sa0:ahc1:0:6:0):aborted command asc:47,0 (sa0:ahc1:0:6:0):SCSI parity error. So that the backup is unsucessful.I can find out my boot log message there is "sa0 at achc1 bus target 6 lun0" "sa0 <ACHIVE PHYTHON 06408-XXX 8130> Removable sequential access SCSI-3 device" Please kindly show me how can I make backup work successful with tape drive. Thank you very much. Regards, Kelvin To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
