Think of night and day...

Linux is a computer operating system kernel.  Linux depends on GNU to
provide the rest.
FreeBSD is a complete computer operating system.

FreeBSD is totally awesome, don't waste time with anything else... 
Learn FreeBSD and then you'll be able to evaluate Linux, Windows NT,
Windows 98, OS/2, etc.  
Unix systems measure "uptime" in years, Winblows measures it in minutes.
