[.....] Well, the only thing I can really say is that you're getting garbage back after connecting - as if there's just noise on the other end of the link - check for the ``read'' diagnostics in your logs. ppp sends a few configure requests and eventually gives up. What happens if you ``set openmode passive'' ?
