I can confirm, that I am not able to load kml files via the vector layer in= put dialog on FreeBSD, QGIS 2.4.1 any more. Instead, QGIS dies on signal 11. On Windows 7 reading kml files with version 2.14.1 works as expected. Can you please tell me,=20 - what is your FreeBSD version and platform?=20 - what is your prefered way to read in kml files, exactly?=20 - what do you mean by 'have tried updating the plugins, to no avail'?
