Having used Linux for a time I now wanted to try out FreeBSD. Building my kernel like explained in the FreeBSD-Handbook I received the following error message: ../../kern/vfs_conf.c:69:warning:'cdrom_rootdevnames' defined but not used Looking up in the /dev-directory I found the acd0a, acd0c, acd1a and acd1c device-nodes made, also the respective entries for racd0a etc. and scd0a etc. I'll send you my configuration and a description of my hyardware with this message. Thanks for your aid .
