Hi, I am a long time Linux/Unix user, but am new to FreeBSD. I need to
recompile the kernel so that I can increase the number of ppp and tun
interfaces available. I have read the handbook section on creation a custom
kernel at: http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/kernelconfig.html and do not have
either of the items listed in the excerpt below:

------------------------------------------------------------
Note: If there is not a /usr/src/sys directory on your system, then the
kernel source has not been installed. The easiest way to do this is by
running /stand/sysinstall as root, choosing Configure, then Distributions,
then src, then sys.
------------------------------------------------------------

I have searched for a tar file or package containing the kernel source with
no luck. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Cullin
